3rd & 4th Grade Developmental
Our 3rd and 4th grade developmental program focuses on the fundamentals of field hockey for beginners. Players will be taught stick handling techniques and knowledge of the game in a fun and positive environment. We strive to grow the game and create a love for field hockey at all levels of our athletes.
Ages
Registration is open to players entering grades 3 and 4 for the 2024-25 school year.
When
Season will begin Thursday September 3, 2024 and run through Thursday November 7.
There will be one practice and week on Thursdays or Tuesdays from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm.
In addition there will be possible scrimmages/jamborees during the season with other towns.

We will communicate practice days once we receive town approval for fields.
Where
Practices will be held at Indian Ledge Turf field. Home games are played at the Trumbull High School Stadium field.

Games
TBD. We hope to have a couple scrimmages/jamborees with local towns during the season.
Jamborees/games with be a small additional fee to play.
Jerseys
Players will receive a practice shirt, which can be worn to practices and any games/jamborees.

Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment is required to play?
All players are required to have a field hockey stick, shin guards and mouth guard. Eye googles are not required but are recommended for this age level.
Fall 2024
This developmental Field Hockey program is open to Trumbull 3rd and 4th graders. Players will have a weekly practice and some games with other towns during the season.
